Had a great time at Leopold! The spacious triple room was perfect for my family, featuring a separate area for the kids. Breakfast offered a fantastic variety, especially those fresh pastries. Only downside, the elevator was a bit noisy at night.

Whole place was clean with particularly good views; marvellous and incredible location in walking distance to the train station. I've had a great stay for 4 nights.

The buffet breakfast wsa fantastic-offered for four hours every day & filled with a various assortment of different items for everyone's tastes & continually replenished.
Our triple room overlooked the fire escape-normally not a pleasant view but considering there is constuction going on everywhere in Oostende at the moment, a preferred location to avoid the dust on the street filtering up into your room & considering we had to have the windows open as even though we had our thermostat set to 10c, it seemed the room never got cooler than 30! The interior location didn't allow any air to circulate however. Although we were forced to sleep with the windows open, as we were close to the fire escape so for security reasons, we always made sure the windows were closed before we left our room for the day however one day we returned to find a window open. I'm sure the cleaning staff thought they were doing us a favour by letting some air in but not a good idea in case people's leave valuables behind in their rooms-which we never do unless they are locked in a safe.We were also awoken in the early A.M. hours by a bunch of drunk people who decided to continue their evening by loudly climbing the interior stairs & then going out onto the fire escape. The room was a decent size & offered a separate room with cot for our son which was perfect however, there was no bath-which I think most families with small children would prefer over a shower. The room didn't have any "extras" either ie; minibar, coffee/tea maker, a pad of paper & pen, safe, bottle opener, etc although the breakfast room/bar seemed to be open most of the day & night so, I suppose you could at least get a drink there if necessary. Also, there was a broken lamp left on the table which really should have been taken away as there was plenty of light already in the room. Although the room wasn't spotless it was tidy enough.

We had clean and comfortable rooms. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is situated nicely near the beach, shopping, restaurants, and a park(good for people with pets). The additional 20 Euro per day for parking is a good option to use. Food served with the breakfast buffet was kept warm and replaced, as needed.
Parking in the city can be a little difficult; hotel parking should be free or cost less. There's lots of construction around the hotel equating to lots of noise. Our bath/shower window did not have a curtain which can cause problems for more modest people; there were construction workers/people in other buildings across the street who could peer right in. Lol.
